Peck Squawk Egg Barrage Peck Squawk Food Coma It's slowly driving me insane.Ĭomment by WhiterockFlock'n'roll family:Chicken abilites: Turkey abilites: Please, for the love of Reason, someone tell me what spicy Szechuan food has to do with "bright light" - everything in Warcraft is some reference to something. Unfortunately this means that (and I'm trying to find a way to reset the alternate spawns - more on if this can be done later) if you're looking for a Chicken, and get a crappy one as an alternate to a Plains Monitor, you have to slay the whole group of Monitors and simply come back later because all members of the group will have exactly the same crappy alternate Chicken with them! I don't know if this is intentional, or if it'll be fixed in Patch 5.1. If the first Prairie Mouse has an uncommon Chicken and a rare Plains Monitor, the next Prairie Mouse will also have the uncommon Chicken and rare Plains Monitor you don't even get different builds. Two Prairie Mice or three Plains Monitors or a Toloi Hare + pups, for example. In this particular case, killing the other catchables might not be necessary since I'm not 100% on if the Chickens share any spawn points with any others, though one does seem to be shared with a pair of Prairie Mice.Ī Note on Groups: Groups of two or more pokemon always have the same alternates joining the battle. So what makes this technique work is opening enough "holes" for the dead critter Szechuan Chickens to come back as pokemon Szechuan Chickens. Pokemon are also probably linked with each other, meaning that there will only be so many catchable ones in one area at one time, which are usually mixed between all of the kinds that spawn. The critter and pokemon versions of the same spawn are probably linked, meaning that if you slay critter Szechuan Chickens, some come back as catchable Szechuan Chickens. This seems to give you pokemon versions of the Szechuan Chicken a little more quickly. In this example, slay all critter versions of Szechuan Chicken and all pokemon versions of Prairie Mouse, Toloi Hare, and Plains Monitor but only those in the immediate area. Slay the pokemon versions of the battle pets that spawn in the area that you do not want. Slay the critter versions of the battle pet you do want. I used it to catch a rare Redridge Rat, a rare Undercity Rat, and best of all, a rare non-colour-changing buff Szechuan Chicken.ġ. This works well for me in all situations with low-spawning pokemon. So here is how you make more catchable Szechuan Chickens spawn. Even caught secondaries will no longer pick a random colour when summoned. Catch them now while you still have the chance, or, if you actually want a monocolour (as I did the buff one is especially delicious lovely and unique) just wait until 5.1 and get the colour you want. There are two in the big round area of the farmstead, two on the little necky bit connecting the large area with the small one, and a lone spawn point outside of the large circular area, to the North.ĥ.1 preemptive update: You will no longer be able to get colour-changing pokemon. Unfortunately, if you want a monocolour (and here's the rub: if you want a monocolour rare-quality Chicken-type in grey or buff, you must catch this particular Chicken as a primary spawn, and they only appear at the Farmstead) you're going to have to deal with what seems to me to be about four or five spawn points. If you want a colour-changer, it's not hard to get as I've said just battle battle battle anything around Kan-Lai Summit until a rare one joins the battle as a secondary pokemon (you want a health total of ~1200 for a rare at level 24, just to warn you). Thought I'd add some actual useful information, figuring that most people who come to this page come here wanting a Chicken. The tawny colour seems to be a reference to the Buff Orpington, a real-life Chicken breed. Because of the three colour choices, the Flock ability will be more interesting.Īs of now, you can capture this Chicken as a monocolour by battling a Szechuan Chicken at the farmstead, or as a color-changer by battling any of the Szechuan Chicken alternates that appear around Kan-Lai Summit when you battle other pokemon. It also comes in the white and grey seen in the Westfall and Ancona Chickens, respectively. Comment by AliandrinThis new Chicken introduces a new colour for this model: the tawny, buff colour.
